Services: Crowns

A crown can help strengthen a tooth with a large filling when there isn’t enough tooth remaining to hold the filling. Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, protect a weak tooth from breaking, or restore one that’s already broken. A crown is a good way to cover teeth that are discolored or badly shaped, or to cover a dental implant.

Why Crowns?

  • Protect a tooth that is worn, decayed, broken, or cracked
  • Protect a tooth after a very large filling or root canal treatment
  • Cover a dental implant
  • Hold a dental bridge in place
  • Improve your smile by covering a discolored or crooked tooth

Our Approach

Would you believe that you could get fitted for a crown in an hour? At Yost Family Dentistry, we make this happen on a daily basis. With the use of Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics (CEREC), we can digitally design and mill a crown that not only fits comfortably, but also matches the coloring of your existing teeth as well.

What once was a lengthy task—that required dentists to take physical impressions of the damaged tooth, send them to a lab, and schedule the patient to return for a second visit—has been reduced to a single visit.

Our use of the newest and latest technology makes your visit quick and leaves you with a natural-looking replica.
